DE AAR, NORTHERN CAPE
The landscape design approach is largely derived from the contect of the local cultural landscape and a product of topography, vegetation type, climatic conditions and ecological processes. From a landscape perspective we aimed to emulate the natural vegetative response to climatic cycles resulting in seasonal variation and reduced maintenance, ensuring a sustainable project.
The landscape must form a series of interconnected outdoor rooms that compliment existing buildings and answer to the needs of users. The landscape must also respond to functional aspects of the site and that of the consumer.
